Happy Monday Fam,

I got asked this week, At what point does a trip get canceled?, in reference to extreme cold. My response was based on how safely I can get fam to a destination. If I’m not able to drive our van safely (i.e. a few inches of snow on the ground, black ice everywhere), I would cancel. And that’s about the only reason…

Extreme cold and heat can be managed with layering, pace, snacking and proper hydrating. And if you booked a trip, you probably read all the trip info, analyzed my welcome email and heard my safety brief, so you know you’ll be ready.

That same guest pointed out that the volume of information provided was the reason she booked since it was obvious I knew what I was doing. Thank you fam for trusting me with your safety and outside fun. I promise, even though it doesn’t always seem like it, safety is always my first and second rule.

See you out there fam!

-Al
